Size does matter!

DEAR EDITOR, - I have read the report headlined 'I'm being victimised' in the Western Telegraph (June 1st).

I stand by my statement to the Pembrokeshire County Council planning committee that the size of this herdsman's house and double garage is more in line with the dwelling of an Arabian prince rather than a herdsman.

I stated quite categorically at the meeting, prior to being stopped by the chair, that I had no objection to the application in principle, but solely to the size of it which totally conflicted with advice given in para 47 of Technical Advice Note 6.

It appears that on April 13th the planning officer was also of this view, but something made him change his mind prior to the planning meeting.

I have at no time attempted to make this a personal matter and it is on the above facts that I requested a 'call in'.
