The show jumping stars of the future could well be found among the children pictured here at the PSJS annual presentation evening.
The evening is the culmination of six months' hard won competitions at the PSJS shows which run from October to March each winter at the Moor Farm Equestrian Centre.
Points won are totalled at the end of the season and the partnerships in each section with the most points are declared champion and reserve.
The partnership with the highest total overall is also presented with the John Green challenge cup.
The last two years have seen the inclusion of a special class, the Mini-Minimus, to encourage the very young children, often on a leading rein, to develop their riding skills. They are rewarded with a red rosette for a double clear round.
The seven youngsters pictured (right) at the front of the photograph all attained the maximum double-clears and were awarded salvers donated by John Lewis, the photographer. They are Anna Ridge, Lily Thomas, Rhianna Evans, Sophie Truswell, Abigail Brown, Philip Llewellyn and Ceinwen Lewis.
Ceinwen's sister Gwenllian won the most points in the Minimus section which, as well as her champion status together with its dividends, also won her the Jack Little challenge trophy.
Gwenllian is seen to the far right of the photograph and Lisa Coles, reserve champion in the section (last year's winner), is seen to the far left.
Hannah Watts, seen in the centre, won the overall title alongside her junior championship and took the cup home with her once more.
Sarah Llewellyn, the junior reserve champion, is standing to Hannah's left side holding her salver, rosette and saddle cloth.
At the rear of the picture are the two senior section winners - champion Helen Tegg, and Kate Gillam.
Ian and Michelle Lewis, proprietors of the Pembrokeshire Equestrian Supplies Ltd. awarded the champions and reserve champions with embroidered rugs and saddle cloths respectively.
Caterer Gareth James and his wife Sandy donated the championship sashes and rosettes as usual.
The next event will be at the Pembrokeshire County Show on August 16th.
