Push for Telegraph's charity event

Colourful, innovative and exotic are some of the descriptions of entries in the Western Telegraph Charity Pram Push in previous years.

And we are hoping that it will again live up to its reputation in 2005.

The pram push takes place on Saturday, June 18th, in Castle Square, Haverfordwest. The prams will gather from 11am and will be flagged away at 11.30am.

The event is open to any four-wheeled pram-type vehicle pushed by manpower alone, with a maximum width of one metre. Previous creations have included a Hawk jet, Sea King helicopters, fire engine, and double decker bus.

So get busy now, as there is a trophy for the overall winner and certificates for categories, including best team, bonniest baby, best youth team and highest sponsorship.

The Pram Push, which has raised over £20,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in Pembrokeshire, was revived last year to celebrate the Western Telegraph's 150th anniversary.

The event has, in the past, received huge support from the Armed Forces, emergency services, children's ward nurses, doctor surgeries, YFCs, Lions Club and Friends of CF throughout Pembrokeshire.
