Julian jolts Narberth

County cricket Division One: Cresselly (157 for 4) beat Narberth (156 for 9)

A powerful 61 from Julian Arthur helped Cresselly gain a six-wicket win over Narberth, with Ryan Lewis starring on the bowling front with a 5 for 36 spell.

Arthur rapped ten fours and a six in his 61 and received support from Simon Cole (25), Lyn Richards (19) and Adam Chandler (26 not out).

Ben Hughes was the pick of the Narberth bowlers with 2 for 17.

Teenager Tom Richards batted well for Narberth as he helped Wayne Howells add 37 for the second wicket, scoring 41 (three fours) before he was bowled by Lewis, as was Paul Phillips (five fours and a six in his 44).

Greg Morris chipped in with 20 not out late on - and there was also a wicket apiece for Richards and Stefan Jenkins, plus 2 for 30 from Richard Harris.

Cresselly openers Arthur and Richards shared a stand of 63 before Richards departed for 19, with Arthur second out with the score on 104 having faced only 74 balls.

It was left to Chandler and Andrew Harris to score the final runs to give Cresselly a deserved 29 points for their all efforts.
