Colin claims fifth dan

THE founder of Milford Haven Karate Club, Colin Harding, has been awarded his fifth dan black belt by the National Karate Association, in recognition of his achievements over the last 25 years.

This achievements include becoming a Welsh and European champion, and training numerous black belt students, who have gone on to compete at international level.

Even though Colin has now retired from his role as club instructor, he continues to show his support and often trains alongside his former students.

The award came as a complete surprise to Colin, as it had been arranged through present instructor Kevin John.

Kevin said: "It was a great honour to present this award to Colin.

"I speak on behalf of everyone at the club when I say it was utterly deserved, as the club's success is down to Colin's sheer hard work and commitment over the years."
