A PEMBROKESHIRE pooch made it into the top 20 Daily Mirror Pet Idol competition for the cutest dog.
Jack, the wire-haired Jack Russell, who has a brother called Archie, beat 10,000 other entries from around the UK.
Nine-year-old Jack spends his time greeting customers at Siop Clare, his owner Clare Butler's shop in Crymych.
Clare e-mailed a picture of Jack to the competition some weeks ago and never thought he would make it into the newspaper.
Clare said: "We didn't mind that he didn't win, we're just pleased he got into the final 20 and had his picture in a national paper. We think he's very cute!
"Its a good job its not a scratch and sniff picture as he is a typical Jack Russell - he'll eat anything and roll in anything!
"We haven't told Jack's brother Archie that Jack is in a newspaper as he gets very jealous, even if Jack sits on someone's knee. So he certainly wouldn't like this!"
Five finalists from all categories received £200 and the overall winner received £1,000.
