Two of the world's only truly amphibious antelopes are splashing out in their own pool at Folly Farm.
The father and son African Sitatunga, whose species are native to the rivers of East Africa, have just arrived at the attraction from Blackpool Zoo.
The Sitatunga is a magnificent and rare species of antelope, and dad Kondoa and his baby son - who has yet to be named - have settled in well among other unusual breeds.
Head keeper Tim Morphew says the new animals make a great addition to the park and complement its existing collection of exotic animals.
"They not only add to the attraction, but also to people's understanding of what animals are out there. Most people have never even heard of a sitatunga, or an oryx, lechewe or bongo, but they can come to Folly Farm and see what all of these animals look like, which is fantastic," he added.
Kondoa and the baby boy are being housed in a spacious enclosure, complete with natural water pool, along with the zoo's red lechewe, rhea and a gigantic llama.
Revealed Tim: "The arrival of these stunning animals is the first in a series of additions and improvements currently being undertaken at Folly Farm, including a number of other exciting new attractions."
And the pair are not the only new arrivals at the farm attraction, for the past few weeks has seen the births of two wallabies, two raccoons and a quartet of prairie dogs.
