The Celtic Blue Rock Community Arts Festival, is returning to north Pembrokeshire on Saturday, August 6th.

The festival will be opened at noon by JEG, a rock pop girl band, consisting of the three talented Robinson sisters, Jessica, aged 14, Gemma, 13, and Elly, 11, from Llandissilio. They will be followed by Milkwood, a band from Laugharne playing emotional rock.

The festival at Llanfyrnach will provide a day of pure enjoyment with entertainment from Circus Malarkey, The Amazing Paka, Samba Agogo, an outdoor theatre stage, Red Dragon Puppets, Triple C Vintage Trucks, West Wales Eco Roadshow, Wood Crafts, creative dancing and drumming workshops, crafts marquee, huge kids area, licensed bar, cafes and stalls. There will be something for everyone.

Festival organisers are also supporting the Make Poverty History campaign. The festival will be donating any money raised to charities such as the Make A Wish Foundation UK, Hermon Primary School Campaign and the Mount Estate Woodland Project Milford Haven.

In support of climate change issues the festival will be using bio-diesel, wind and solar power and using fair trade produce wherever possible.

This year's festival also includes a competition to compose a poem, rap or lyric, with four £70 prizes to be won.

There are categories for under-18s and over-18s in both Welsh and English. Entry and camping at the festival is free.

However, there will be a £10 charge for cars, intended to encourage car sharing, reduce road congestion and help the environment. lFor information visit info@celticbluerock.org.uk or phone 01239 831876.
