The running men

The Tenby 10km race was recently organised by TROTs Running Club with the support of the staff from Tenby Leisure Centre.

A total of 180 runners participated in cooler conditions than in previous years.

The course is arduous in parts, in particular the climb through Penally.

Results were collected by Computer Services Agency and the trophies were presented to the winners by the mayor of Tenby, Cllr Tish Rossiter.

Paul Richards from Swansea Harriers was first in a time of 33 minutes 53 seconds and led the other runners by over two minutes. Rhiannon Ace from Pembrokeshire Triathlon was the first female and finished seventh overall.

TROTs won the female and male team wards. The Buccaneer Pub was the winning business team

Results of TROT runners are as follows: Mike Evans was fifth and won the open male award, Dewi Jones was 18th and won the first super veteran award, Ann Thomas was 21st and was the winner of the female veteran category; Malcolm Adams and Cyril Walters were 25th and 26th places respectively, Mary Bowen Rees was 30th, winning the second female veteran award, Claire Clethero was 39th and won the open female award and was closely followed by Dave Griffiths in 40th place. Adam Joseph was 45th, Rowena Melbourne was 79th and won the second open female award, Helen Williams was 85th, Pauline Thomas 124th, Ron Morgan 135th and Jeanette Holliday 168th.
