Neyland girls football teams presentation night

The Neyland girls football teams recently held a presentation night at the Neyland Athletic Club.

All girls were awarded medals and certificates for effort and attendance throughout the season.

Individual awards were also presented as follows: Neyland Eagles - Under 14s: best player - Lisa Pugh; top scorer - Jodie Cameron; most improved - Nia Thomas.

Neyland Hawks - Under 14s - best Player - Neah Armstrong-Davis; joint top scorers - Sophie Hackett and Anna Doble; most improved - Stacey John.

Neyland Nightingales - Under 12s - best player - Lucy Taylor; top scorer - Amy Hewitt; most improved - Rebecca Bristow.

Neyland Robins - Under 12s - best player - Ciara Harwood; top scorer - Samantha Lewtas; most improved - Lilly Stevens.

Neyland Minnies - under 10s: best player - Alys Thomas; top scorer - Alice Williams; most improved - Danni Bowers and Beth Williams.

A special award was given to Stephanie Martin for continuing to play on when others would have given up.

The final award was given to goalkeeper Danielle Thomas for completing a season (12 games) without conceding a goal.

The evening was concluded with a raffle and karaoke and disco.

The mountain bike, donated by Rose Owen of Minnies, was won by Lilly Stevens.
