    MRS D. MILLER MILFORD HAVEN The death occurred on April 16th at Havenhurst Home, Sandhurst Road, Milford Haven, of Mrs Dorothy Miller, of Hakin, Milford Haven. She was 95. Mrs Miller was a native of Neath before moving to Milford Haven. She had a full, active life in Milford Haven. She was the chairman of the Haven Club, set up for retired people; chairman of the Arts Club; a member of the Romilly Sur Seine Twinning committee and a friend of Havenhurst, where she died. Dorothy received the Citizens' Award of Merit for her contribution to Milford Haven in 1992. Predeceased by her husband, Harold Miller, family left to mourn are: Mrs Jacquetta Bennett (daughter); Mr and Mrs Ian Miller (son and daughter-in-law); Mr Gavin Davies (brother); Mr Simon Bennett (grandson); Mr and Mrs David Ruthven-Stuart (granddaughter and husband); Mr and Mrs Neil Miller (grandson and wife); Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Close (granddaughter and husband); Mrs Dilys Davies (sister-in-law); Mr and Mrs Nicholas Davies, Mr Michael Davies, Mrs Juliet Howard, Mr and Mrs John Evans and Jonathan, Mr Trevor Short (family members); also attending were her close friends from Milford, Warwick and London, and many local friends including those who supported her during her latter days. The funeral took place on Saturday at St Mary's church, Hakin, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, and was officiated by Rev Alan Chadwick. Bearers were Neil Miller, Simon Bennett (grandsons), Nicholas Davies and Michael Davies (nephews); Principal mourners were: Mrs Jacquetta Bennett (daughter); Mr and Mrs Ian Miller (son and daughter-in-law); Mr Gavin Davies (brother); Mr Simon Bennett (grandson); Mr and Mrs David Ruthven-Stuart (granddaughter and husband); Mr and Mrs Neil Miller (grandson and wife); Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Close (granddaughter and husband); Mrs Dilys Davies (sister-in-law); Mr and Mrs Nicholas Davies, Mr Michael Davies, Mrs Juliet Howard, Mr and Mrs John Evans and Jonathan, Mr Trevor Short (family members); also attending were her close friends from Milford, Warwick and London, and many local friends, including those who supported her during her latter days. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Paul Sartori Foundation, c/o Barclays Bank, Hamilton Terrace, Milford Haven. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Sons Ltd, Hamilton Court Funeral Home, Dartmouth Street, Milford Haven. read more
