Nick's bright karting future

A promising young karter has won high praise and firm support from David Llewellin, the multiple British rally champion.

Nicholas Cristofaro from Milford Haven is only 12-years-old but has already got an impressive record after competing in two karting championships in 2005.

He finished in second place in the British Elf/B4 Super One Kart Championships and third in the British Stars of Tomorrow championship.

Indeed, David Llewellin, among many others, has recognised the star talent in Nicholas Cristofaro.

He said: "Karting is the way to go as far as motorsport is concerned, it gives you a good foundation.

"The good thing is that you can start at the early age of eight.

"Starting early in any sport is paramount.

"Nicholas has already proved himself time and time again.

"He has won himself a drive three years in a row with a top team, Zip Kart, and now with only a few months testing he has won himself an engine deal for 2006 with Choice Engines.

"All this will help him in the future but there are overheads that go into thousands of pounds needed for his campaign.

Nicholas added: "From all the testing we have done this year we should be front runner for 2006 although there is no pressure from the team - they just want me to settle in the first year and go for it in 2007 - but I have plans of my own."

David went on to say: "I have seen Nicholas race and can honestly say that we need to support this talented youngster and not let him slip through the net. "He will work his socks off for you."
