Top guns in Gwent

Eight members of the Modern Print Target Club recently travelled to Newport, Gwent to take part in the Newport District Inter County Seven Yard Air Rifle competition.

Daniel Court, aged 16, successfully defended his Newport Open Junior title.

Ron Hovell came first in Division Three with Ken Rice second. A very successful day ended with third place for Pembrokeshire and bronze medals for Andrew Court, Phil Jones, John Court, Ron Hovell, Daniel Court and Ken Rice in the Six Man Inter County Team Shoot.

In the four man club team event Pembroke A - Daniel Court, Andrew Court and John Court - took second place.

The club meets every Tuesday night from 7.30pm at The Pembroke Power Station Sports and Social Club, Main Street, Pembroke. Everyone is welcome, no equipment or experience is needed.
