The birth of NHS trouble

DEAR EDITOR - I did not think I would live to see mothers in childbirth, be the target of NHS cutbacks.

Complications and emergencies arise even to mothers who have previously had normal deliveries. Present policies will put us at risk of diminished health care, leading to a higher financial burden on society, and detrimental to the health and well-being of our nation.
