How could they?

Little eight-month-old terrier Millie was rescued last week after being thrown into the Mill Pond in Pembroke.

Witnesses told Kevin Hart, from Broadlane Kennels, Lawrenny, that the young terrier was seen being thrown into the freezing water and left to drown.

Luckily the plucky little dog was rescued in time and is being looked after at Broadlane Kennels waiting to be rehomed.

After seven days, however, Millie must be rehomed, taken to a dog rescue centre or unfortunately she'll be put down.

Kevin Hart said: "She really is a lovely little dog. She is a happy little soul and very friendly. I just can't understand people who would do things like this."

Anyone interested in giving Millie a home should phone Broadlane Kennels, Lawrenny, on 01646 651133.
