Well done, BHF cyclists!

Dear Editor, - I would like to take this opportunity to thank your readers who supported the recent Annual Pembrokeshire Hearts Firsts First Bike Ride for the British Heart Foundation.

Even though the weather was not brilliant, the event was not dampened in any way. The smiles and encouragement offered by local people who volunteered their time to help brightened up their day for everyone.

Without our volunteer support - be they refreshment providers or marshals - the event could not have taken place and we would not be able to raise vital funds for the charity.

We are hoping to raise over £4,000 from the event, which will go towards helping fight heart disease in Wales.

Many thanks again for the support of your readers in 2006 and I look forward to meeting them all again when this popular annual bike ride returns to Pembrokeshire next year.
