  • Better to be safe

I'm absolutely disgusted that Narberth school still has no traffic speed humps on the main road outside the school entrance. read more

  • Massive scam

Cooler heads spotted long ago that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) was nothing more than a massive scam to extract more taxes from the masses. Indeed, this unscrupulous exercise was aided and abetted by many a climatologist and scientist (thankfully not all) to ensure their on-going funding. But it now seems chickens are coming home to roost - Al Gore et al must have choked over their cornflakes last week when the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit revealed data showing the Earth has not warmed for the past 15 years; this data was based on 30,000 measuring stations around the planet. So I guess Al Gore will have to come up with another Inconvenient Truth such as Version Two, the Great Global Cooling. read more

  • Poor refuse practice

Dear Letters (Western Telegraph), Refuse Collection - ‘A poor show Pembrokeshire County Council’ This may well be the case all over the county, but I am, and residents of Gath ward are, becoming increasingly frustrated with an aspect of our refuse collection. read more

  • Makes a nonsense of claim

Gordon James implies that the Princes Gate Spring Water wind turbine will play a part in “saving our planet” but Geoffrey Sinclair points out that its trivial contribution to reducing CO2 emission is less than a thousandth of the saving by the proposed Atlantic Array (Wind turbine plans blow up new storm, 18 January). read more

  • No cover

It may be of some interest to your readers how the closure of these units has failed to improve the service at Withybush A & E.On thursday night at 11.30pm , we recieved a phone call from a friend in pain asking if we could take her to the hospital. She had contacted her on call doctor, who advised that she should make her way to the hospital where the on call doctor would drive to and see her..We picked her up and arrived at withybush at 12.30pm where she was told she would not have to wait as she was not a A & E ' customer'.After a wait of 1 1/2 hours she was seen by the on call doctor who apologised for the delay. The on call doctor explained that she had had to see the A & E patients before our friend as there was no A & E doctor available. This doctor had to come from llandyssul to see our friend and provided a very proffesional service in diagnosing a broken rib. However the question that should be asked of Wthybush management is why was there no adequate doctor cover for an A & E departtment..I hate to think how long the 'accident' customers would have had to wait for treatment if the on call doctor had not been called out. read more

  • Siren call changed

I don't know who Mike Garlick is or where he lives as he hides behind "By email" in his letter to the Telegraph {January 18] rather than an address. I'd bet my bottom dollar though, that he is quietly lining his pockets with government subsidies paid to those in the green energy business while the rest of us pay through nose for the conventional stuff. read more

  • Apology did not go far enough

Dear Editor, Park apologises for its handling of saga" read more
