It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog and that’s because I’ve been so busy with Calm, my treatment rooms in Kilgetty but I am also involved in a really exciting project at Pembrokeshire College.
There is nothing worse than having sleep problems, maybe it’s not being able to drift off or problems with disturbed sleep but if you’re like me, it can really affect your day and sometimes leave you feeling out of sorts for a few days.
There is not a woman I know that isn’t concerned with wrinkles, whether it’s the little ones creeping in around the eyes, the big red ones you sometimes get from how you slept to the deep wrinkles that will never go. It’s also becoming a worry for some men too, so I have put together eight easy steps to help you fight the wrinkle onslaught.
After months of hiding under winter clothing we are now heading towards spring (at last) and our poor neglected bodies are in need of a little TLC! There are lots of little things you can do without having to spend a fortune.
I haven’t blogged about any treatments so far but I want to start with reiki. As any therapist that has been attuned to reiki two or is a master will use it in all of their treatments, so you’ll be getting a reiki healing without knowing.
My definitions for these three little words are all different; exfoliating is the general term used for removing dry and dead skin cells from the face or body. A scrub is a product containing a strong gritty ingredient and would mostly be used on the body and a buff is a gentle product used for the face. Of course the product companies have their own ideas and name their products whatever they fancy, so confusing all us poor consumers.
I LOVE Rugby and I feel I am most certainly not alone in this passion, as my facebook page shows today, with all the good luck messages to Wales and teasing of the English. However I am not just a rugby fan when the six nations is on, I watch rugby every weekend and will sometimes watch all of the games played by the regions and then Scrum V too!!!!
So we’re a month into 2010, the snow has melted (although I have been told we have more on the way) and all the magazines are featuring spring and summer clothes, the shops are almost out of sale things, just one lonely rail at the back that you have rummage through just in case you might miss out on a bargain! And on Monday I went to Trostre Park in Llanelli and actually found crop tops!!! It seems to be 80’s tastic at the moment, with head to toe bleached denim being a key look!!
Something I learned right at the start of my beauty career is to Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise!
I wanted to do beauty and hair from the age of four; my family were quite affected by this because I had to practise on them! Now I’m not going to go into details as I’m sure they would be embarrassed, especially my two brothers who faced nail varnish and lipstick being forced onto them almost daily. When I finally got to do my three years combined hair and beauty course at Pembrokeshire College I was already looking at the places my new profession could take me, so my very first job (apart from summer jobs and two weeks work experience in Knightsbridge, where I had an unusual altercation with Ronnie Corbet in Harrods) was for Steiner, onboard the Holland America ship, Statendam.
