It seems there is very little time between the sweltering heat of a summer sun and a November bonfire, and an encroaching winter can only mean one thing: it's game time!
Winter is a gamers favourite season for a number of reasons, primarily because the release schedule is full of potentially great triple 'A' titles, as well as because we don't have to go to such extreme measures to prevent sunlight from reflecting from our television screens, allowing for hours of uninterrupted game time.
So what's out over the next few months? I've already mentioned the gaming behemoth that is Modern Warfare 2, as well as Borderlands, which may have come in under your radar. Bioware are also releasing their Blood 'n' Guts 'n' Dragons dark fantasy Role Playing Game Dragon Age: Origins (November.)
For those who like a more contemporary R.P.G. Obsidian will be releasing Alpha Protocol, allowing us to step into the shoes of a Jason Bourne style secret agent and decide whether you want him (or her) to be a run and gun or hand to hand combat specialist (October.) Driving game fans are also well served with Shift, Blur and the new Forza game all racing over the horizon, vying for pole position when it comes to your buying decisions.
I'll be primarily playing Final Fantasy Dissidia and Persona on P.S.P., as well as Borderlands on Xbox 360. What about you?
