Keeping Chickens

Well after months of thinking about it, we have elected to get a couple of Chickens. A wonderful chat with the very helpful (and multi-award winning) breeder just outside Milford Haven: Ray Evans of Fairlawns Foul, suggested we go for the Salmon Faverolles breed, noted for it's docile, easy to hand nature, together with being a 'rare breed'.

Updates from the Garden: Potatoes

Slug attacks have been underway all spring and summer so far, so we've moved all our herbs into containers. I'm going to blog a bit more about herbs soon, particularly our new Camellia Sinensis plants, an amazing plant that affects anyone and everyone living here in the UK as it's leaves are used to make tea.

More snow photos

Some more photos here of this morning's snow. My two retired greyhounds went absolutely mad in it, they used the snow as an excuse for a race around the garden! Hope everyone else is enjoying it!

Make it snow, make it snow, make it snow

At last! Snow. I was starting to feel left out. It seems after waking up this morning to a wonderful bright sunrise that the snow would never reach us.

Is it time to re-discover Milford Haven?

Milford Haven, there's a marina, a port, a supermarket and a nice high street. What more could you want?
