Well after months of thinking about it, we have elected to get a couple of Chickens. A wonderful chat with the very helpful (and multi-award winning) breeder just outside Milford Haven: Ray Evans of Fairlawns Foul, suggested we go for the Salmon Faverolles breed, noted for it's docile, easy to hand nature, together with being a 'rare breed'.
Slug attacks have been underway all spring and summer so far, so we've moved all our herbs into containers. I'm going to blog a bit more about herbs soon, particularly our new Camellia Sinensis plants, an amazing plant that affects anyone and everyone living here in the UK as it's leaves are used to make tea.
In the early days of last week a rouge squadron of Slugs planned and undertook a daring raid on the Polytunnel.

It's nearly March, so here comes the start of many blog articles about gardening I'm afraid. I have posted a shorter version of this in my personal blog, so apologies for readers of both.
Round two of the snow today. It's flurrying here but not too serve. Our central heating boiler decided it wanted to down tools last night and we're waiting for the plumber.
Some more photos here of this morning's snow. My two retired greyhounds went absolutely mad in it, they used the snow as an excuse for a race around the garden! Hope everyone else is enjoying it!
At last! Snow. I was starting to feel left out. It seems after waking up this morning to a wonderful bright sunrise that the snow would never reach us.
Today I joined twitter.. It's a bit like facebook but much simpler! Twitter is an online social networking site where you simple sign up, then update your day in a quick sentence. It then adds it to your blog, facebook profile, friends mobiles and all other manor of oddities.
Milford Haven, there's a marina, a port, a supermarket and a nice high street. What more could you want?
Hello, as this is my first blog entry for the Western Telegraph I've added a photo of one of my favorite spots in Pembrokeshire, Marloes Sands, took last week on a sunny day.
