Whitesun Walks On Saturday 23rd of May- myself, Daphne, Graham and a few friends walked from Martins Haven to Pickleridge in Dale. Getting on the Puffin Shuttle at Dale to Martins Haven. Although a
long stretch “ just over 11 miles”, it was a fairly easy walk without to many climbs. What I have noticed on our walk around the coast path is the great improvements the National Parks have made –
putting up gates instead of styles and maintaining the path so well, and also bringing it further inland where there is danger of subsidence.

Another notch under the belt- on Sunday 3rd May, Broad Haven to Martins Haven just over 10 miles. Daphne and myself along with our “minder Graham” were joined by 3 other WI ladies. A lovely walk
with only a few up hill grunts! There are no styles on this section just wicket gates and kissing gates – there are more than 90 steps to climb tho’. As other sections – the coastal slopes were
rich in wild flowers, and in the first half- an un-usual experience of walking with a wood between us and the sea below.
