An exhibition of ceramic sculptures by Japanese artist Masazumi Yamazaki. The sculptures are hand built and combine simplicity of form with unpredictable themes. The pieces convey subtle emotions ranging from the quirky to the bleak. Masazumi’s work is entertaining and accessible to people of all ages. In Oriel Fach, is Ben Lloyd’s new work ‘Empire Kiosk’. The installation is his response to his experiences in Sierra Leone where he worked as a volunteer teacher. The piece reflects on multiculturalism, the fragmentation of empire and 21st Century technologies. Also on show are thought-provoking, delicate photographs by Grainne Connolly.
