Jackie Morris exhibition at Milford's Torch Theatre

Jackie Morris has worked as an illustrator and writer all her life, and the award-winning artist is exhibiting her latest work at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven this month.

The exhibition features paintings from the recently published Singing in the Sun, written by Vivian French.

Already the book has picked up a Gold Moonbeam award in America for best picture book for all ages.

There are also examples of paintings Jackie created for the Musicians Benevolent Fund and the Terry Pratchett Disc World calendar.

Many of the images on show will be familiar, as Jackie has worked for so many different charities and organisations that her work is seen by thousands of people across the country.

Her children’s books are also extremely popular and her distinctive style always enchants children and parents.

Jackie said: “Illustrating a picture book is a bit like putting on a play, so when I was asked to exhibit some of my work at the Joanna Field Gallery at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven it seemed like the perfect setting.”

Jackie’s strikingly beautiful paintings and illustrations are a delight to behold and will whisk the young and old off to magical lands filled with dancing bears, dragons, magicians and fairytale creatures.

The exhibition runs until February 1st. The gallery is open daily, free entry.
