The things we do for love

8:50am Friday 5th March 2010

Laurie Lorry Theatre and Makin Projects present Sausage and Samosa — knicker elastic for the soul — at Theatr Mwldan tonight (Friday).

Meet Eve, an environmentalist and dry-stone wall expert, who is fast becoming a wilting wall flower.

As a last ditch attempt to find herself a man, Eve taps into the Asian culture of arranged marriages.

In a bid to become the perfect woman, Eve succumbs to cookery classes, Asian etiquette and dancing lessons - all food for the ultimate blind date and her quest for the perfect man.

Eve’s fantasy begins as the potential suitors are downloaded from the website www.hottottierecycleme.com and the audience gets to cast its vote by raising a sausage or a samosa card to choose Eve’s perfect Adam.

This hilarious one-woman comedy not only explores the complexities of relationships and different cultures, but also challenges the old adage of the grass is always greener on the other side.

It is guaranteed to spice up your Friday night.

Tickets for Sausage and Samosa are £10, or £8 for concessions.

They are available from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, or online at www.mwldan.co.uk.
