"Nine" is a vibrant and provocative musical that follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife, his mistress, his film star muse, his confidant and costume designer, an American fashion journalist, the whore from his youth and his mother.

Mel Hove says...

This is a really marvellous film, true to the spirit of the original Fellini movie, with a terrific score and great performances, direction, photogaphy, design and choreography. It is also an antidote to the instantly forgettable rubbish that passes for most musicals nowadays, requiring a miniscule amount of intelligence and concentration. I would regard it as one of the great film musicals of all time. My only complaint is that I had to sit in the same row as some moron who could not resist turning on his mobile, from time to time, to check his text messages, until it fell to the floor with a loud thud, while two women in the row in front of me spent the whole time knecking and whispering. I can't understand why they bothered to go to the cinema in the first place. Nevertheless the film was so brilliant the distraction did not completely ruin the evening for me. Can't wait to see the film again.
