A LIMPING man dressed in black was bitten on the hand when he attacked a girl at knife-point in Crystal Palace.
The 12-year-old was waiting for a bus in Crystal Palace Parade at about 7.45am on December 5 when the man grabbed her from behind, put his hand over her mouth and poked a 12in knife in her side.
She bit his hand and screamed. As he ran away, he put the brown-handled knife into a sheath on his belt.
Police say the attacker was white, aged about 29 and 5ft 6ins. He was wearing a black balaclava, black gloves, a black full-length jacket, black trousers, and black boots, one of which may have had a built-up heel because he walked with a limp.
Witnesses should call DC Reynolds on 020 8284 8060 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
