FOLLOWING on from the success of their first joint exhibition in Milford Haven last year, artists Graham Brace and Clive Gould are once again joining forces.

They will be exhibiting their work at Carningli Centre in East Street, Newport from September 13 to October 12.

Both derive much inspiration from Pembrokeshire, and although their subjects are rendered in great detail, their working methods are quite diverse.

Graham Brace’s work is intricately produced using a mixture of media but predominantly coloured pencil – a medium in which he is widely regarded nationally as a leading exponent. By contrast, Clive Gould’s dramatic and powerful paintings of rock forms and waves, although detailed and highly representational, are rendered on a larger scale in acrylics.

Graham lives and works in Llangwm beside the Daugleddau Estuary, which provides much inspiration for him, while Clive divides his time between Cowbridge and Narberth, portraying the drama of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast as well as Pembrokeshire’s National Park coastline.

Gallery owner, Ann Gent, said: “We are delighted to be hosting Graham Brace and Clive Gould’s exhibition at Carningli Centre. Graham is a long-standing favourite in our gallery, Clive is new to us – we are excited to see new paintings by both of them.”

The exhibition opened is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm.
