THE popular Touch and Go Theatre Company returns to the Torch Theatre this week with a new amateur production.
Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson follows last year’s sell-out production of Calender Girls and is being shown this Thursday and Friday at 7.30pm.
It is a bitter sweet comedy about three very different sisters – a doctor, a health food shop owner and a man-man shopaholic with a tendency to drink too much- who return to the family home to arrange the funeral of their mother.
Set in a bleak northern coastal town in winter, the plot revolves around the wildly different memories that family members can have about the same childhood events and how this affects their relationships with each other and with the men in their lives.
Directed by Carol Mackintosh, the cast includes Margaret Harries, Tricia Jones, Jane Morris, Marcus Lewis, Frank Tobin and Janine Wilson.
Ticket cost £10/£8.50 and are available from the Torch Theatre box office by calling 01646 695267.
