A REAL TONIC WITHOUT THE GIN !!!

Would you like to be a part of something positive, make new friends and learn a new skill or enhance a skill you already have?

If you are looking for a hobby which has great health benefits and have always wanted to sing in a choir but are unsure about it - here is an important date for your diary

30th June 2018 10.30-12.30 at the Albany Hall, Hill Street Haverfordwest, SA61 1QE - just off St Thomas' Green.

Did you know that singing releases endorphins, the feel-good chemicals in the brain? The deep breathing needed to sing draws more oxygen into the blood and causes better circulation, it's also an aerobic activity and a natural stress-reducer. Plus, it is a known fact that people who sing in choral groups feel socially connected.

When you get the chance to sing with others, the positive effects of singing seem so much better. Research shows that singing your heart out in a group makes people happier by reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

Everyone is welcome - come and listen to the Cantabile Ladies choir and even join in if you feel like it. We sing all sorts of songs from Abba and the Beatles to Elgar and Rutter. Gentlemen need not feel left out as Sam Howley the Choir Director is also seeking young men to join his new choir - Kings amongst Men - the 'not so young' men who wish to sing in a mixed choir can join Sam's well established Village Voices Choir. Don't worry - there are no auditions

If you come to just listen or to participate we will be offering you tea and cakes (for a small contribution) so please come and join us for this wonderful opportunity. By the way - the social life is very good too!
