SKA-punk seven-piece Beneath the Reef will headline a night of live music to raise cash for the Pembrokeshire Green Party next weekend.

Proceeds from the gig, which will also feature local rising stars Baked Goods, and support from Uncle Funk and DJ Baz, will go towards the Green Party's 2015 general election campaign.

The party has two candidates standing locally, Frances Bryant for the Preseli-Pembs seat and Gary Tapley for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire.

Jim Scott from Pembrokeshire Green Party said: " We are extremely grateful to Beneath the Reef and Baked Goods for agreeing to play free of charge to support this gig and also to everyone else who has offered their help and expertise."

He added: "As we are a forward thinking and progressive party we are very popular with young people so it has been very heartening to receive so many offers of help from so many talented young people."

He said the money raised would help the party spread its message throughout the county ahead of the election on May 7.

The gig will be held at Ffwrn in Fishgaurd on Saturday, April 18, from 7.30pm until midnight.

Tickets are available from Ffwrn, Fishguard, the Facebook event page and Jim Scott on 07814 089250, and there will also be a raffle on the night.

Half-price tickets are available for low and unwaged people, and students.
