Cardigan residents will be hoping to hit all the right notes in the lead up to Christmas as the town welcomes a festive male voice choir to its streets.

Performing traditional Welsh hymns and carols, as part of a one-off four-hour concert, the choir will visit Specsavers on High Street in Cardigan to bring some festive cheer.

"Wales is heralded as a nation of great singers, so we’re inviting all members of our community to get into the festive spirit and enjoy what we hope will be a brilliant performance,’"says store director, Heledd Hallett.

"Last year, we brought our first Specsavers-themed choir to Cardigan to coincide with the Rugby World Cup and we were delighted with the buzz it generated, which is why we’re so pleased to welcome them back again. We’ve got umbrellas and packs of ponchos at the ready so that, whatever the weather, the choir can be enjoyed by everyone."

Made up of 12 Welsh choristers at every performance, the choirs will sing on weekends in October, November and December at Specsavers stores throughout Wales to raise money for the children’s hospice, T? Hafan.

Specsavers announced its partnership with T? Hafan in September, kicking off the year-long commitment with a generous donation of £10,958, the amount it costs the charity to provide 24 hours of care.

Members of the Cardigan community can watch the Specsavers choir between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, December 3.
