AFRICAN soukous music superstar Kanda Bongo Man is set to light up north Pembrokeshire on Sunday night – and it’s a complete sell-out.

Kanda Bongo Man, who has millions of followers throughout the world, will be playing at the Bluestone Brewery, Cilgwyn, on Sunday night and the demand for tickets has overwhelmed the organisers.

It is a huge coup for the independent brewery as Kanda Bongo Man has played some of the world’s biggest stages but Bluestone boss Simon Turner, a huge fan of the musician, somehow managed to convince him to play at the small venue.

Kanda Bongo Man has played Glastonbury, New York’s central park and headlined WOMAD festival. He fills football stadiums across the world and really is the 'king' of Congolese soukous music.

“It is a complete sell-out and we have been delighted at the response,” said Bluestone Brewery marketing manager Emily Hutchinson.

“But I am afraid we have a limited capacity with our licence and all the tickets are now sold and we are sorry we are having to say no to people.”
