DJ Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Cymru) presents an amazing evening of music at Cardigan Castle on Saturday, July 21.

Huw brings his own hand-picked line up to the castle featuring the magnificent Gwenno, as well as two up and coming electronic pop bands - Omaloma and Serol Serol - plus a DJ set from Huw himself as Theatr Mwldan and Cardigan Castle again team up to present what promises to be a fantastic night.

Welsh singer-songwriter Gwenno headlines, following the release of her latest album Le Kov. “It’s about having to accept and respect the nuances that make us all different and discovering that all of our stories share the same truth.”

Le Kov follows her critically acclaimed Welsh language record Y Dydd Olaf (which won Welsh Music Prize and Best Welsh Album at the 2015 National Eisteddfod).

Like Y Dydd Olaf it’s a bold statement about the importance of protecting minority languages. Le Kov is entirely in Cornish, Gwenno’s ‘father’ tongue.

It has been created with long-term collaborator Rhys Edwards, with additional drum engineering by Gorwel Owen (Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, Super Furry Animals) and mixing and additional programming by David Wrench.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm (doors 6.30pm) are £16 (£12 under-18s) and are available to book from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200 and online at www.mwldan.co.uk. Further live events are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
