THE latest single by blossoming local producer Kreed is out now. A remix of Solid Ground by Bristol-based musician Gardna, it also features Joe Peng - more commonly known for his role as the lead singer of Laid Blak.
Joe Baker, 16, also known as Kreed, could yet be one of the most influential producers to emerge from Pembrokeshire. Having started his musical career aged just 10, his hard work is starting to pay off.
Aged 14, he entered a remix competition hosted by Lifestyle Recordings. With some tough and much older competition, Joe managed to win and subsequently secure himself a place on the record label. His remix of Mind Rhythms, originally by Lifestyle heavyweight Freeloader, has now racked up an incredible 30,000 hits on YouTube.
Following this success, Joe went on to release his first official EP Delta Blues, and debut album - fittingly named Progression - which received huge recognition from the producing world.
Now it would seem that Joe is taking his musical journey a step further, as he will be attending a production college in Bristol this September.
