ONE of Wales’ most iconic folk groups, Mynediad Am Ddim, will be performing at an open air music event at St Dogmaels Abbey, organised by ABATY900 on Sunday, July 22.
Another of Wales’ leading folk talents - Lowri Evans of Newport, Pembrokeshire - will also be performing live.
This is a new departure for Abaty900, an organisation to promote interest and increase public awareness of the historic building in St Dogmaels. Over recent years, they have invited male choirs to perform, but chose to take a new direction this year.
An Abaty900 spokesman said “ This is an opportunity for people to come along, relax and enjoy some excellent music in an informal setting. We encourage people to bring food and drink with them, and there will be a bar available as well.”
The event has been generously sponsored by BV Rees Ltd, St Dogmaels; Dr John F Rees, Pantygalchfa; and Rosehill Dairy, Nantcrymanau, Llechryd.
The event starts at 2.30pm and tickets cost £12, with children under-12 admitted free. Tickets are available via the Theatr Mwldan website.
