THIS year’s Llangwm Festival has lined up a group of top Welsh comedians as a highlight with Phil Evans and Friends next Thursday, July 3.

Phil hails from Ammanford and returns to Llangwm’s Festival by popular demand.

His comedy although sometimes cheeky is never crude or offensive.

His act is a non-stop barrage of hilarious stories told in an easy-going style that has amused audiences from Swansea to San Diego and includes his popular nostalgic childhood routine with which everyone can identify.

Joining Phil this year is Ignacio Lopez – A half-Spanish and half-Welsh comedian who started his comedy career by accident.

He was working behind a bar when his workmates urged him to take part in the 2011 ITV talent show, Show Me Funny... He didn’t win, but he has never looked back.

Paul James has become a firm fixture on the national comedy circuit, with a gritty, down-to-earth accessibility that wins crowds over.

Karen Sherrard is warm, witty and winsome, and her stand up is full of unexpected twists and the constant readjustment of a view on the world.

Aled Richards came to comedy in 2012, when he entered a script for a stand up routine at The National Eisteddfod. Two weeks later he received a letter to say that he’d won.

The show “Comedy & Cwtches” will be at Llangwm Village Hall on Thursday July 3, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £3.25 for children can be obtained from Llangwm Village Shop or by calling 01437 899 966 or emailing pamela-hunt@btconnect.com
