A PIG-napping, skullduggery and romantic entanglements among the aristocracy bring and evening of light relief to the Milford stage this week.
Xenon Liberal Arts' 1920s farcical comedy Oh, Clarence! opened at the Torch last night. It runs to tomorrow.
Adapted by playwright John Chapman from PG Wodehouse’s famous stories of the vague and unworldly Lord Emsworth and Blandings Castle, the play features a cast of 12 led by Jim Roberts as Clarence, the ninth earl.
The company has been presenting live theatre throughout Pembrokeshire and at the Torch Theatre for the past 18 years, during which time it has presented an eclectic mix of plays from thrillers to comedy to domestic drama. Its most recent productions have included Agatha Christie thriller The Hollow and Noel Coward’s This Happy Breed.
Xenon partners are Mavis Hills, Jenny Whyte and Sue Williams, who between them produce, direct and perform in all of the company's productions.
Tickets for Oh Clarence! are available from the Torch Theatre box office and are priced at £11 and £10 concessions.
