IN response to plans to build a new nuclear power station on Anglesey, Hollti looks at the hopes and fears of some of the island’s residents, including the nearest neighbours to the proposed site of Wylfa Newydd, the family of Caerdegog, a working farm near Cemaes.

The production is a verbatim play based on interviews with real members of the local community about their right to shape their own future.

It is a bold look at the arguments from both sides on this most divisive of issues in a brand new drama from Wales’ National Theatre Company, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru at Theatr Mwldan in Cardigan on October 9 and 10 at 7.30pm.

On Monday 9 October, there will be a post-show talk, following the performance of Hollti featuring members of the cast and chaired by the poet Ceri Wyn Jones.

This is a Welsh language production, however English language access is available via SIBRWD – please download the app.

Based on an original idea by Sarah Bickerton and Marred Glynn Jones, director of Nansi, The National Eisteddfod - Montgomeryshire and the Marches, 2015.

Tickets for Hollti are £12 and £10 (concessions) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, on-line at www.mwldan.co.uk or via the new MWLDAN app.
