Rhosygilwen will host the first Welsh-language production of Donizetti's opera Don Pasquale - or more accurately in Welsh, Don Pascwale - on Thursday.

OPRA Cymru bring its unique version of Donizetti's comic masterpiece with the cream of Welsh talent; Robyn Lyn, Arwel Huw Morgan, Ceirios Haf and Cardigan-based singer, Iwan Davies.

Non Welsh speakers will not feel left out as they can follow the plot with notes in English during the evening. There will be a short talk about the opera by director Patrick Young before the performance.

Patrick has been with the Royal Opera House in London for nearly a decade and has worked with household names such as Sir Thomas Allen and Luciano Pavarotti, as well as more recent talent such as Gerald Finley and Anna Netrebko.

Tickets can be booked online at www.rhosygilwen.co.uk. The performance starts at 7.30pm and pre-concert suppers can be booked by calling 01239 841387.

Please note concessions of £5 apply for children, which are not bookable online. Contact the venue in these circumstances.
