I’M disgusted to have read in the news with you last week that the British Army, who were recently training here to go to Afghanistan, had had complaints from locals about the disturbance from the helicopters.
From what was printed it mentioned minimum disturbance had been caused, but the Army had verified they had had permission for night flying etc.
I can’t believe they even need permission apart from air space, time should not be an issues to us locals. Would we rather they just flew into Afghanistan untrained and hope for the best? It seems some of us would.
I hope they are ashamed of themselves! Though I doubt it. Few noisy days or nights for us, against months of war and watching every step you take, doesn’t really compare!
