PEMBROKESHIRE County Council made a decision a while back to turn off street lights at a certain time in the evening all over Haverfordwest to save money.
In the Prendergast area the Jockey Fields and Coronation Avenue, Stokes Avenue and Scotchwells are affected.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the county council for helping the residents of Prendergast and surrounding areas by leaving the lights on in the new resource centre all night and even at weekends.
The building is not yet finished so the only logical reason for these lights being on all night while the rest of the community is in darkness must be so that if we get lost in the darkness, we can head for the light get our bearings and carry on our journey .
