www. is not fair!

THINGS are beginning to look grim for the older generation, that includes me at 75 years old.

Fortunately I can still use the computer and am on the internet, but I believe I am in the minority.

Everything, whether the news, buying, or information, it’s go to www. Making enquiries for cheaper motor insurance the other day, I found several firms and made phone calls. I don’t know how much these calls will have cost, but it was my preferred way of making enquiries. Previously, direct debit payments cost a further £20, so I opted to pay in a lump sum. If I wanted to pay by cheque, it would have cost a further £3. I then asked for the paperwork to be posted, that is costing a further £2.

All the ways that the older generation is used to using, cost extra, is this fair? Even if they had the skills to go online, they would not necessarily have the inclination.

I don’t and I have it to hand, but so many don’t have the inclination, or the time and many others don’t have the access.

So telling everyone to go to www. just is not fair! I feel like starting a revolution, but sadly I do not have the energy.

Is there anyone out there that understands this marginalisation and would be sympathetic to fight our corner?
