FURTHER to the article (Western Telegraph, February 19) about the state of the roads around Haverfordwest, fed up drivers who crave a comfortable drive can now enjoy a super-smooth surface in deepest Pembrokeshire.
It must have been done by aliens because surely our cashstrapped county would not have wasted enough tarmac to properly repair all the potholes in Pembrokeshire on a road which for half of its length is marked as being “unsuitable for vehicles”?
The road, single track and about two miles long, is fantastic except in some places you could damage your car if you drop a wheel over the edge. The plus side is you probably will not see any other vehicles using it – only dog walkers. Aesthetically, it is a little disappointing however. It used to look nice with all the grass growing along its middle – very environmentally friendly. Never mind, it probably won’t be long before its covered with farm slurry to get it growing again. So come along to Brandy Brook and enjoy carefree motoring before there’s an official opening, but mind the potholes on the way. Visit the Keeston area too where the aliens appear to have struck again with miles of resurfacing.
