I THOUGHT we lived in a democracy but it is obvious that Hywel Dda intends to ride roughshod over the ‘ordinary people’.
They intend to carry out their plans regardless. What happens when Glangwili becomes overloaded? Which it will as the population increases.
It’s like the ‘rise and fall of the Roman Empire’. I see the NHS breaking down completely.
We need more local hospitals, not less, especially as global warming seems to be upon us. We don’t want to add to it by making hundreds travel further and further for treatments emitting more pollution into the atmosphere.
Also I suggest someone should do ‘time and motion’ studies (as were popular in the late 60s) to see how much time and petrol money will be spent on ambulances shuttling people to and fro instead of concentrating on urgent cases.
