IN a recent edition of the Western Telegraph’s sister newspaper the Tivy-Side (and online) the headline was ‘Poachers nabbed with a gill net on the river Teifi’. The result was one was given a conditional discharge and one had a formal caution.
Would someone be kind enough to explain why poachers in Pembrokeshire on March 13, 2008 were fined £6,000 for a similar offence?
There seems to be double standards here, maybe your readers could explain?
