RE: Response to ‘Election Fear’ letter by Sir Eric Howells, June 4.

MAY I ‘a peasant’ (quote Boris Johnston) be permitted to say a few words in response to your letter?

Firstly, I thank you for your unbiased views on UKIP and yes, we did fight a good fight based on the election platform of the EU and immigration.

The other three parties, political journalists, and especially the BBC’s Question Time and most of the other news channels, lost the plot by mixing the EU election platform with the upcoming General Election next year.

Many tried hard to humiliate UKIP, but you must agree that the tables were turned by the general public’s response.

Secondly, addressing your ’real fear’, you are right to be fearful.

Speaking as an ex-serviceman with 25 years Army experience and a follower of Jesus, I’m not an academic but from what I can see, politicians have no common sense.

The three leaders have got no spunk.

We the ‘peasants’ know that they are just managers sitting on the fence trying to please everyone.

Sir, they should take a leaf out of your book and put the people first, not the parties.

As for UKIP, we say that it only takes one drop of water to start a river. We may only be a small stream but watch this space!
