An open letter to the staff of Pembrokeshire County Council.

As leader of the Labour Group, I want to thank you for your inspirational levels of hard work and good grace during one of the most difficult periods in our county’s history. It’s not said often enough, so I’ll say it again - thank you!

When things go wrong, scandals arise and public anger surfaces it can seem like much of that is being aimed towards ‘the council,’ which you serve so admirably. In fact, it was a few individuals who have been responsible for this ugly episode and I know how demoralising it can be to become tarred with that brush. However, you have kept the county working during this time and you’ve done it in the usual helpful, enthusiastic and professional way that makes me proud to say I’m from Pembrokeshire.

In the coming months, I’m going to start asking the county how we can do better and what the people need to regain some trust in the system. And I’m going to see those changes through to the end, just as I did with Bryn.

Please make sure you go to my website - PaulMiller- Pembrokeshire.com or call 01646 278080 to get a paper copy sent out to you - and fill out the short survey as your views, as people that really understand the system, will be invaluable.

Together, we can restore the trust in Pembrokeshire County Council and make it a great place to work again.

Thanks again

Paul Miller
