At first I thought a parliamentary fixed term was a fine idea, but I have changed my mind as we have had the parties electioneering since the beginning of January as it appears to be a close finish the two main parties are offering all sorts of bribes to the Welsh Assembly, but many of the voters are suspicious that some will evaporate after the election.
They have turned the National Health Service into a political football, but we need not fear for the N H S as public opinion will not let either party depart from the straight and narrow.
During the last parliament we heard an awful lot about the proposed HS2 the 200 miles per hour railway line which was estimated to cost 50 billion, but I say 80 billion which will only benefit London. With a bus load of potential Westminster candidates from West Wales why are we not hearing about antiquated railways with the journey from Fishguard to London travelling at an average speed of 55 miles per hour and I am told from Pembroke Dock it is 40 MPH.
Why not a firm proposal of extending the dual carriageway from St. Clears to Fishguard? This would not only benefit West Wales, but also Southern Ireland and part of the cost should be met by the E U.
Come on candidates if you want our votes you must do more for us and bring West Wales into the21st century.
