I READ with amazement about the proposed housing development and the apparent way the planning has been conducted.
This small town does not have the capacity to handle another eyesore development, the services can barely cope with what is there at the moment.
The problem of extra waste being pumped into the sea is not appealing nor is the destruction of the surrounding scenery.
This town was never designed to be an overspill, it is annoying to see that half the homes there already are unoccupied and used as second homes, born and growing up in the town the majority of house were occupied. Not the case today.
But the thing that strikes me as unforgivable is that this land and other sites of development that have blighted this town have been sold by local people to these developers.
I hope common sense does prevail in this instance but I do not hold out much hope.
It will not be very nice living in an overpopulated built up area. “Milton Keynes here you come”.
