NOTWITHSTANDING the letters of protest and petitions strongly against the introduction of parking charges at the St Thomas Green and Rifleman’s Field car parks, it appears that such charges are now to be introduced. Little thought seems to have been given to the effect this will have on so many users of this locality : the ‘top town’ traders and shoppers, users of the Leisure Centre, patients and visitors to the two GP surgeries as well as the many office workers in the vicinity.
Please think again and reconsider this decision which will greatly affect the well used ‘top’ of what seems to be an ever dying town! Finally, has the somewhat questionable ownership of the St Thomas Green site ever been legally proved, I wonder?
